No problems here. When my wife got an iMac I tried using iMovie but soon reverted to Studio 11. Doesn't seem to work for some but I would recommend it 100%.

I read all the reviews , but for HD what choice have you got ? so I thought I would give it a try.Complete waste of time ,it crashes just like all their previous versions, for hd the results were poor and it took 13 hours for a 1 hour avchd dvd to be created, to play back on my sony bluray player, which is unacceptable.Tech support were easy to speak to but were useless.I have a core duo machine with 4 gig of ram. I am back to using the software that came with the camera ( panasonic sd9 )which is fast and reliable but no transitions.Will have to wait for the next issue of Vegas for decent avchd. The pro version does it now but costs 399 ! , too much for me.Got a refund from Amazon.First class service from Amazon as normal.

I was slightly apprehensive about buying studio 11 after reading many negative reviews about its stability and ease of use. Regardless I went ahead and ordered my copy the other week and to be perfectly honest I don't have a bad word to say about it. It's easy to use its stable and relatively quick encoding a 1 hour music DVD in no time at all, much faster than previous versions. So far I have done two projects using this software an all has gone really well. And the quality of the finished projects has so far been very high. br / br /I think this software is getting slated on the net as people with good experiences don't bother to post because the software `just works'. The only thing I would say is check out the pinnacle site for some useful tutorial videos on getting started. br / br /ps: The machine I am using is a dell precision 390, 2.4Ghz core 2 duo with 2GB RAM. br /

I have been using Studio 8 with reasonable success but have recently upgraded to 11 after getting a HD camcorder. I have a dedicated partition on my PC with a minimal XP install and no other applications. I have a core2 duo cpu and 4 gig memory. This version is a pile of crap, sorry but thats all i can say about it, I get intermittant hangs and crashes during importing and rendering which I never had with the previous version. It takes twice as long to do what version 8 did. I cant understand how this software constantly gets such great reviews as every user forum slates it ( i wish I had read them BEFORE buying it). Pinnacle support is THE WORST I have ever come across, you will lose the will to live with this product. br /Now this is the third product that I have had from them them and joins the ranks of their dv200, and mediacentre in the garbage can.
Go with Sony instead! February 24, 2008

I struggled through with Pinnacle Studio all the way from version 1 to 9. Each new release brought nothing but complete and utter frustration and rage brought about by this utterly woeful piece of software. The only thing that is extremely good is the interface. Unfortunately, NOTHING else about this software even comes close to delivering. I was eventually pointed in the right direction to try out Sony Vegas. I have never looked back! Happily editing and making a living using it. It is a delight to use and ULTRA stable. Does everything it should and delivers what it promises.
